SGP-9 - Accept Ownership Transfer of BNB Chain Contracts to Spectra DAO

Summary

This proposal seeks to transfer ownership of Spectra's deployed contracts on BNB Chain (formerly Binance Smart Chain) from Perspective SAS to Spectra DAO. This marks the protocol’s formal expansion to BNB Chain, (supported by K3 Capital) and aligned with Spectra's expansion strategy.

Context & Motivation

Spectra’s deployment on BNB Chain is undergoing final integration. This proposal enables a transfer of contract ownership from Perspective SAS to Spectra DAO.

BNB Chain has established itself as one of the most active Layer 1 ecosystems, with over $6.1B in TVL and hundreds of thousands of daily active users / addresses. Due to this scale, BNB Chain offers a huge addressable market for Spectra DAO.

K3 Capital’s involvement further reinforces the strategic potential of this deployment. K3 Capital is an institutional DeFi liquidity provider & risk curator managing delta-neutral portfolios exceeding $570M, as well as a list of public markets and proprietary products with emphasis on stablecoins & borrow/lend markets. With integrations across major BNB Chain ecosystem protocols, including its Blue Chip lending market on Euler, K3 Capital will actively participate in bootstrapping liquidity with key ecosystem projects. By entering the BNB Chain ecosystem, Spectra leverages existing network effects and opens up more on-chain liquidity pathways.

Specification:

Perspective SAS proposes deploying Spectra’s core contracts on BNB Chain, replicating the configuration used on Ethereum Mainnet. This deployment will enable Spectra users to tokenize, trade, and fix interest rates for yield-bearing tokens within the BNB Chain ecosystem.

Next Steps:

Perspective SAS will submit the vote on Snapshot shortly given the BNB Chain imminent launch if there are no constructive objections.

If Spectra DAO members approve the proposal, Perspective SAS will proceed with deployment on BNB Chain and transfer contract ownership to the Spectra DAO wallet on BNB Chain:
